Moscow: Recent discussions between Moscow and Washington have led to a reduction in differences regarding the Ukraine peace agreement, along with various other topics. This development followed a three-hour meeting involving US special envoy Steve Whitkoff on Friday, as reported by a senior Kremlin official.
During this fourth round of discussions, Whitkoff met with President Vladimir Putin, supported by Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov and chief of foreign investments Kiril Dmitreyev.
Ushakov noted that the lengthy talks between Whitkoff and Putin have successfully aligned the positions of both nations not only concerning Ukraine but also on several global matters.
He characterized the meeting as 'constructive and beneficial,' mentioning that the potential for direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine was also on the agenda.
According to local media, both the US and Russia have committed to continuing their fruitful dialogue in a 'most active mode.'
